BOBBY PELL

LEAD PASTOR

Bobby grew up in Georgia, an avid fan of Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide Football. After graduating from Tennessee Temple University, he moved to Indiana as a church planter in 1993. He was the church planter/pastor of New Life Baptist Church in Greencastle, Indiana from 1993-2002. In 2002, he and his family moved to Evansville, Indiana to be the church planter/pastor of NorthWoods Church. He has also spent some time as the Church Planting Team Leader for the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana. He met his wife Amy, an Indiana native, in Northwest Georgia. They have been married since 1991 have two children, Garret and Ryan.

MARVIN WILSON

ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF WORSHIP & GROWTH

Marvin grew up in the northeastern part of Oklahoma in a suburb of Tulsa. He attended Southwest Baptist University where he majored in music and where he also met his wife, Linda. After they married in 1983, Marvin attended Missouri Baptist University. Marvin and Linda have served in several churches over a five state area, which includes: Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Ohio, and now Indiana. In addition to his wife, he has two beautiful daughters, Brittany and Mackenzie. In the past, Marvin has also been a firefighter and earned his training as a paramedic.

MATT HIGGINS

ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF FAMILY MINISTRY

Matt grew up in Virginia. He entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ here in 1990 during a Young Life student retreat, surrendering control of his life to God. Matt later received his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010, where he was awarded the President’s Scholar Award for the School of Theology. Matt has been married to his wife, Dana, since 1998 and they have one daughter, Gwendolyn. Matt served as Lead Pastor for Calvary Heights Baptist Church in Martinsville, IN for 5 years, and began serving as NorthWood’s Family Pastor in August 2015.

SALLY GREEN

PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR

Sally was born and raised in Evansville. She married her high school sweetheart, Gary, and have been married for over 30 years. They have a daughter, Katie, a son, Ben, and a granddaughter, Emilia. When Katie and Ben were young and started to ask about Jesus and being Christians, that is when Sally realized that “yes” she knew who God was but “no” she did not have a personal relationship with Him. On Sunday, November 10, 1996 Sally prayed to receive Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior. She has been the director of NorthWoods nursery/preschool department since 2005. She also has been the director of NorthWoods Church’s Mother’s Day Out program since its beginning.
