Partnering with parents to disciple the Next Generation
Reaching, Discipling, and Sending Out the Next Generation to change the world for Christ!
For NorthWoods Students, we value intergenerational discipleship, God's Word, community, students reaching students, and a love for the nations.

- Our Volunteers
- We have a team of Student Ministry Volunteers who love pouring into the lives of students regularly and encourage our students to have a deep, intimate, and growing relationship with God that will last throughout their lives so they can continue to reach, disciple, and send out others.
Special Events
Ready for some FUN? We are!! Join our students for special events happening all throughout the year! We do a variety of events such as Color Wars, Coffee House Nights, Elite Air, Camp, DNOWs, Mission Trips, and SO MUCH MORE!
Discipleship
- Our greatest desire is to partner with parents. One of the ways we do this is through discipleship. As parents and guardians are discipling students at home, it’s our goal to have students partnered up with another adult in the church to continue to grow in their love for Jesus.
- Discipleship relationships can happen one-on-one or in a small group of 3-4 students. Each discipleship relationship happens between the same genders and for groups, our aim is for students in the same age group.
- Students meet for discipleship whenever it fits the student and the adult’s schedule!
Committed to Safety
The well-being, safety, and security of your whole family is top priority. We have a number of volunteers and paid staff who monitor our church for security. Each volunteer working with our students has been background checked and been trained on our Child Protection Procedures.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to check-in my student?
- Not on Sunday Mornings for Sunday School, but students will need to check in on Wednesday Nights!
- To make Check-In easy on a Wednesday Night, CLICK HERE and fill out the form prior to attending a Wednesday Night.
Where is Sunday School?
Our Middle School Students meet upstairs and our High School Students meet downstairs. A volunteer can help get your students to the correct places.
We do encourage our students to prioritize attending worship with their families if they are only able to attend during the 9:00am service.
What do I need to bring on Wednesdays?
We encourage each student to bring a PAPER Bible! We have some available in case you don’t have one! It’s our goal to eliminate as many distractions as possible for our students, so we put phones off to the side and use a PAPER Bible instead of an electronic one.
Is there dinner on Wednesdays?
It depends! About once a month, our students will have some sort of meal, but be on the lookout for Special Wednesdays!
I still have questions, who do I ask?
We care about your students! If you have questions about any of the Student Ministries, please email our Student Pastor, Zack Newsome
